Ken Lang
Milligan University has welcomed Dr. Ken Lang as their newest faculty member. Lang, who will oversee the criminology and criminal justice major, has had 25 years of law enforcement experience, 15 years investigating violent crimes and 13 years as a forensic artist. He received a bachelor’s and master’s degree in criminal justice administration at CSU.

Richard Whitehead
Rich Whitehead, Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, is Keyport’s newest graduate of the Naval Acquisition Development Program. Whitehead served in the Army for 20 years, specializing in chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear matters and retiring as a chief warrant officer two. He has earned an associate, bachelor’s and master’s degree from CSU.

Jocelyn Blas
The Northern Marianas Housing Corporation’s board of directors as well as U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Honolulu Field Office, presented Jocelyn Blas with a certificate of completion under the NMHC’s Family Self-Sufficiency program. “I am thankful for the opportunity to be able to save up through the assistance of your office and be sufficient enough and ready to provide a comfortable home for my children,” she said. She is a 2022 CSU graduate.

Cory Chase
The Cottage Grove Police Department has hired Cory Chase to be the city’s new police chief. He has over 22 years of law enforcement experience. Chase earned a bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership from CSU in 2012.

Jennifer Johnson
The University of Kansas Jayhawk Global has announced the appointment of Jennifer Johnson as the director of the Kansas Fire & Rescue Training Institute. “I have dedicated my entire career to serving the Kansas Fire Services, and the opportunity to lead our fire service family at this level is a tremendous honor,” she said. Johnson serves as an adjunct professor in fire science at CSU.

Doug Koopman
Doug Koopman was named the new chief of the South Sioux City Fire Department. He has over 30 years of experience in this field. He holds a bachelor’s degree in fire administration from CSU.

Lou Reed
The City of Rincon has named Lou Reed the city’s fire chief. Reed has been a paramedic for 29 years and has worked with the Rincon Fire Department since 2011. He earned an associate and bachelor’s degree in fire administration at CSU.

Justin Pinkelton
The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department has promoted Sergeant Justin Pinkelton to lieutenant. He is a 27-year police department veteran. Pinkelton holds a bachelor’s degree from Columbia Southern University.
