Kenneth Gittens
Sen. Kenneth Gittens was recently re-elected to represent St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Sen. Gittens earned his bachelor’s and master’s in criminal justice administration from Columbia Southern University.

Jennifer Jaskolka
Jennifer Jaskolka is general counsel and manager of Corporate Safety & Industrial Hygiene at Xcel Energy. Recently, she participated in a program that was focused on discussing the role of diversity in law. Jaskolka earned her bachelor’s degree in occupational safety and health in 2017.

John Muhr
Battalion Chief John Muhr, a veteran with more than 30 years of firefighting experience, has been selected as Cathedral City Fire Department’s new fire chief. Muhr was one of six finalists chosen in October to interview for the position through a national search. He holds a bachelor’s degree in fire science from CSU.

Lamonte Tyler
Gulf War veteran Lamonte Tyler of Gwynn Oak, Maryland, was recently featured in the Voice for Veterans spotlight by WMAR-TV. Tyler was spotlighted for his passion for helping the community, such as mentoring kids on a football field, training children and women in self-defense and buying food for the homeless. Tyler is a 2018 MBA graduate.

Steven L. Osmer
Steven L. Osmer, who has a bachelor’s in business administration with a concentration in project management, recently ran and won the office of mayor for Satellite Beach, Florida.

Ezra Lubow
EMS Battalion Chief Ezra Lubow has been selected to head the Plantation (Florida) Fire Department’s EMS Division as its new Division Chief, Lubow, a 26-year veteran of the Department, worked his way from volunteer firefighter to a full time paramedic with the EMS Division. The 2014 CSU grad will now serve as the EMS division chief.

Geoff Grace
Geoff Grace, a firefighter for the Rockaway Beach Volunteer Fire Department in Oregon, recently ran for a position on the Rockaway Beach City Council. Geoff Grace has served our community in the Rockaway Beach Volunteer Fire Department since 2011.

Nick Garver
Nick Garver, the fire chief at Madison (Ohio) Township Fire Department, was recently honored by the Newark Advocate as one of its 20 Under 40 selections for 2020. The 2013 graduate is the owner-operator of Garver Asset Protection, part-time instructor at Zane State College and employed part-time with Dresden Police Department.
