Important: Thanksgiving Closure and Adjusted Schedule

Columbia Southern University would like to wish you and your loved ones a Happy Thanksgiving. As you prepare for this holiday season, the following Thanksgiving holiday schedule concerning assignment submissions, course enrollment requests, and other student requests is provided.

CSU 2019 THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY SCHEDULE
CSU will be closing at 5 p.m. CT Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2019 and will be closed Wednesday, Nov. 27 – Friday, Nov. 29, 2019. We will reopen Monday, Dec. 2, 2019 at 8 a.m. CT. Student requests, including email and voicemail, will be promptly attended to upon our return.

Suggested Submission Deadlines:
The following submission deadlines are provided as a guideline to ensure your request is processed prior to holiday closure. Requests submitted after the published deadlines may not be processed until offices reopen.

Please note, students wishing to receive email responses from faculty prior to Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2019, 5 p.m. CT should send an email no later than Sunday, Nov. 24, 2019, 5 p.m. CT.

Assignment Submission

  • LifePace Learning / Open Enrollment
    • Students wishing to have a subjective assignment graded prior to the Thanksgiving holiday should submit the assignment on or before 11/22/19.
    • Assignments submitted during the Thanksgiving holiday of 11/27/19 – 11/29/19, will be graded by Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2019, 11:59 p.m. CT.
  • Term Enrollment
    • Students wishing to have a subjective assignment graded prior to the Thanksgiving holiday should submit the assignment on or before 11/22/19.
    • Assignments submitted during the Thanksgiving holiday of 11/27/19 – 11/29/19, will be graded by Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2019, 11:59 p.m. CT.
    • Term 3B20, Unit III – Late submissions due by 11/29/19, unless otherwise approved by professor.
    • Term 3B20, Unit IV – May submit through 12/6/19, with no late penalty
    • Term 2A20, Unit VIII – Late submissions due by Friday, 11/29/19, unless otherwise approved by professor.
    • Term 2B20 & 2A20 students on an Incomplete that is active during the Thanksgiving holiday will receive 3 days added to the current course end date in order to accommodate for the designated Thanksgiving closure. The adjusted course end date should appear in the myCSU Student Portal no later than 12/1/19.
    • Term 2B20 & 2A20 students on an Incomplete may have assignment due dates that fall during the Thanksgiving holiday, 11/27/19 – 11/29/19. These deadlines will be waived, and the assignments will be due by 11:59 p.m. CT on the adjusted end date. Students will be held to any assignment due dates prior to 11/27/19, unless otherwise approved by the professor.
  • Course Enrollments:
    • LifePace Learning /Open Enrollment: Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2019.
    • Term Enrollment: Refer to the Academic Calendar for scheduled deadlines.
  • Success Center:
    • Writing and Math requests:
      • Students who would like to submit a writing or math assignment for review must do so by close of business Friday, Nov. 22, 2019. The Success Center will resume all duties on Monday, Dec. 2, 2019.
  • Career Services:
    • Career Counseling appointments
      • Students who would like to schedule a career counseling appointment for Monday, Nov. 25, 2019 or Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2019 (the week of Thanksgiving) must do so by close of business on Friday, Nov. 22, 2019. This also includes submitting resumes for review. Career Services will resume all duties on Monday, Dec. 2, 2019.
  • Incomplete Course, Proctor, or Final Exam Requests: Thursday, Nov. 21, 2019. LifePace Learning/Term Incomplete for Special Circumstances need to be in by Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2019. In addition, 2A20 Term Course Incompletes need to be in by Friday, Nov. 15, 2019.
