Russ Adams
Russ Adams has been inducted into the prestigious Marquis Who’s Who Biographical Registry. Since 2022, he has served as the fire chief of the Monarch Fire Protection District. Along with being a certified fire instructor and a licensed paramedic, he holds licenses and certifications to teach emergency medical techniques and fire safety practices. He holds a bachelor’s degree in fire administration from CSU and is currently pursuing his master’s degree in emergency services management, also at CSU.
LaShon White
LaShon White was selected as 9th Command Chief Warrant Officer of U.S. Army Reserve Command. In this position, White is responsible for all Army Reserve warrant officers across the Army Reserve Command. A native of Austin, Texas, White enlisted in the Army in May,1986. He holds a master’s degree in organizational leadership from CSU.
Corey Kemp
Corey Kemp has been appointed as Bulloch County’s new emergency management agency director. He worked for 16 years with the Bulloch County EMS as EMT as well as with the US Army Corps of Engineers as a program analysis. “For me, working in Bulloch County has always been more than just a job,” Kemp said. “It’s a dedication to the communities that I serve, a place where many families have established their lives for generations. Protecting this county is a task that I will embrace with enthusiasm.” Kemp is a 2016 CSU graduate.
Royce Turner
Newton County has named Royce Turner as its next fire chief. Turner comes to Newton County from the Atlanta Fire Rescue Department. He spent 26 years with the department and most recently served as deputy chief of emergency medical services. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in fire science in 2012 from CSU.
Mike McQuistion
Mike McQuistion will serve as Clinton’s new fire chief. He will become the 12th fire chief in the 134-year history of the department. He began his career with the Clinton Fire Department as a firefighter paramedic and has risen through the ranks over the last 25 years. He holds an associate and bachelor’s degree from CSU.
Lloyd Powell
The City of Brenham has named Lloyd Powell as the new interim police chief. Starting with the department in 1997, he has two decades of service within the Brenham Police Department. He holds a master’s degree in criminal justice administration from CSU.
Michael Palma
Micheal Palma was recently named as the new interim police chief of the Margate Police Department. Palma, who joined the force in 1995, has worked in many roles through the years, including as a patrol officer, field training officer, planning and research officer, master patrol officer and detective. He obtained a bachelor’s and master’s degree, both from CSU.
Kevin Flory
The Shawnee Heights Fire District announced that they have hired Kevin Flory as the new fire chief. Flory started his career in 1986 as a volunteer firefighter. He received his bachelor’s degree in fire administration from CSU in 2021.
