CSU Professor Publishes Book
Barry Goodson, a faculty member in the College of Safety and Emergency Services, recently published the book, Country Cop: True Tales of a Texas Deputy Sheriff. The book was released by the University of North Texas Press and covers his experience with the Parker County (Texas) Sherriff’s Office in the 1990s and 2000s.

CSU Student Awarded Fire Chief Position
Michael Dutcher has begun his permanent role as fire chief in Framingham, Massachusetts. He has worked at the department for 23 years and has been working as the acting chief since November. Dutcher is currently pursuing his master’s degree in public administration from CSU.

CSU Alumnus Aids in COVID-19 Efforts
Josue Zamarron, a veteran and owner of Zamco Directional Drilling, donated 5,000 medical grade masks to the Houston area VA hospitals. Zamarron received his MBA in project management from CSU in 2018.

CSU Knight Awarded Kentucky Colonel Award
Montgomery Beyer was awarded the “highest civilian honor” of the Kentucky Colonel Award by the governor of Kentucky in September 2019. He was given this award based on the work he has done with the National Foster Parent Association and the Michigan Adoptive and Foster Parent Association. Beyer is currently pursuing his DBA with CSU.
