Chukwuemeka Onwuka, an occupational health and safety specialist at Procter & Gamble Nigeria, was recently published in the African Journal of Health, Safety and Environment. You can read his article here. Onwuka received his master’s in occupational safety and health from CSU.
CSU Alumnus Running for Sherriff in Tennessee
Cpl. Kris Hall on the Habersham County Sherriff’s Office will run for the Hall County Sheriff. The Army veteran currently supervises the traffic unit; he received his associate’s degree in criminal justice from CSU.
Birmingham Swears in CSU Alum as Fire Chief
Cory Moon was sworn into his new role as fire chief in Birmingham, Alabama on February 3. He joined the department in 2001 and most recently served as battalion chief. Moon received his bachelor’s degree in fire science and master’s degree in emergency services management from CSU.
CSU Knight Named First Woman Deputy Chief by Sheriff’s Office
Felicia Rucker-Summerlin was named deputy chief by the Jefferson County Sherriff’s Office in Alabama. She is the first woman to hold this position in the agency’s 200 years. Rucker-Summerlin earned her bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from CSU.
