Decorated First Sergeant in Army Sets Sights on Veteran Work
First Sergeant David Fink of Fillmore County, Iowa completed three tours in Iraq and is the recipient of several military awards, including the Bronze Star Medal and Purple Heart. He completed his bachelor’s degree from CSU and will begin his master’s degree after retiring from the military. At that point, he plans to work with veterans.

CSU Graduate Honored at the Tampa Chapter of the National Forum for Black Public Administrators
Timothy Dudley was among those honored on October 18 at the Tampa Bay Chapter of the National Forum for Black Public Administrators (NFBPA) in St. Petersburg, Florida. He is the director of emergency management at the Hillsborough County Office of Emergency Management. The Army veteran earned his master’s degree in emergency services management from CSU.

CSU Graduate Named Fire Chief

Daron Bement began his new role as fire chief for the Tillamook Fire Department in Oregon, where he has worked since 2002. He earned his bachelor’s degree in fire administration and associates degree in fire science from CSU, and is currently pursuing his master’s.
