Better Research Begins with the CSU Library

The Columbia Southern University Library is an invaluable resource that provides the tools needed to succeed. Whether you’re just beginning at CSU or approaching the end of your program, the library is here to support you throughout your academic journey. You may already know about our databases, which are great places to find credible sources for your assignments, but the library also provides several services designed to help you succeed.

Attend a Live Library Orientation
Attending a library orientation session is an excellent way to learn more about library resources and services. These live sessions, led by a librarian, give you an overview of what the library offers and provide time to ask questions. Orientation sessions are held every Tuesday at 6 p.m. and every Friday at 2 p.m. Central Standard Time.

If those times don’t fit your schedule, you can choose an orientation at a time that works best. You can access the orientation session link here, or if you would prefer to schedule your own session, you may do so using this form.

Schedule a Research Assistance Appointment
Another helpful service is library research appointments. Librarians are available for one-on-one, 30-minute Zoom sessions to assist with your research needs. During these meetings, librarians can share their screen and walk you through the best strategies for finding information for your assignments. Just look for the Request Research Appointment button on the library homepage to submit your request.

Librarians Available 24/7
The CSU librarians are available 24/7 to assist you during each step of your research process and are always happy to help. From quick article searches to in-depth dissertation support, the library team is here to help you achieve your academic goals.

Email Library@ColumbiaSouthern.edu or call (877) 268-8046 during business hours, or live chat with a professional librarian anytime, day or night.
