Michael J. Rozneck
Chief Master Sgt. Michael J. Rozneck has been recognized for his work as the command senior enlisted leader for Space Operations Command at Peterson Space Force Base Colorado. In his role, he advises the commander on matters influencing the health, welfare, morale and effective utilization of 13,000 professionals responsible for providing space capabilities to the Department of Defense. He earned an MBA from CSU in 2016.
Tim McDowell
Senior Deputy State Fire Marshal Tim McDowell was selected as a nominee for the 2024 Maryland Deputy State Fire Marshal of the Year Award. He was nominated for his exemplary fire and explosive investigations, professional achievements and community service. In 2024, McDowell led 14 fire and explosive investigations and assisted in 29 others, five of which were determined to be intentional, resulting in three arrests. The winner will be announced in the summer of 2025. He received his bachelor’s degree in fire administration with a concentration in fire investigation from CSU.
Vimal Venugopal
Cloud Solutions Architect Vimal Venugopal has been recognized for his work in transformative leadership in cloud infrastructure and technology solutions. His work has played a vital role in modernizing IT ecosystems for major corporations across healthcare, finance, life sciences and publishing industries. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in information technology from CSU.
Kyung-hoon Bae
Kyung-hoon Bae has been nominated as South Korea President Lee Jae Myung’s first science minister. Bae is known as a key artificial intelligence (AI) strategist for LG Group, South Korea’s chemicals-to-electronics conglomerate and began his career in 2006 as a researcher with Samsung Thales Research Institute. Bae earned his MBA from CSU in 2005.
Brandon Travis Emory
Brandon Travis Emory has been included in Marquis Who’s Who. He is the president and founder of Alliance Code Enforcement LLC, serving 30 municipalities across North Carolina. Prior to establishing his business, he served as a law enforcement officer and spent most of his career as a detective/sergeant within the Criminal Investigations Division. He received both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in criminal justice administration from CSU.
Willis Whately
Lt. Willis Whatley retired from the Sylacauga (Alabama) Police Department on June 26 after an impressive law enforcement career spanning more than three decades. He began his career in 1993 as a correctional officer and dispatcher before serving as a south-end deputy. He joined the Sylacauga Police Department in 2002 and eventually served as chief investigator in 2012. Whaltey also led both the patrol and investigative divisions. He received an associate degree in criminal justice from CSU.
Jeremy Sprague
Jeremy Sprague has been selected as one of four finalists for the role of police chief with the Marion (Iowa) Police Department. He has 25 years of law enforcement experience and served 19 years with the Des Moines Police Department as a police lieutenant. Sprague holds a Master of Public Administration from CSU.
Patrick Bishop
Cullman County Deputy Patrick Bishop announced that he is running for the Republican nomination for lieutenant governor of Alabama. He is an Alabama law enforcement officer and served 26 years in the United States Army, retiring as an Army major. The Republican primary will be held on May 19, 2026. Bishop earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and an MBA from CSU.
