Take 5 With Enrollment Specialist Taylor Harrison

Enrollment specialist Taylor Harrison has been a part of the CSU family for over three years and is a 2024 CSU graduate. In her role, she assists students with their enrollment requirements and works to ensure each student goes through the process smoothly.

We asked Taylor to share more about her role at CSU and what she loves most about her career.

  1. What does your role at CSU entail? My role at CSU is an enrollment specialist within the student accounts department. I work closely with student enrollments and specifically with the corporate billing, military tuition assistance and doctorate students. I verify and process enrollments daily along with assisting students with requesting payment vouchers or account payments. As stated, I work with specific students, so our team is sorted so that we work closely with each category of students, and we can stay familiar with the processes and procedures of each student’s account.
  1. What do you enjoy most about your job? What I love most about my job at CSU is growing relationships with the students and coworkers. I enjoy walking the students through their enrollment process or updating their account when necessary. I also enjoy the connections and friendships that are easily made with my coworkers.
  1. As a current CSU student, what program are you studying and why? I recently completed [my] bachelor’s in business administration/management and attended the ceremony in October! I will be continuing my studies in January to work on [my] master’s in organizational leadership. I chose this realm of study as it fits well with my career interests and will allow for improvement and growth within my career.
  1. What is your favorite CSU memory or moment? Currently, my favorite memory is attending commencement as a graduating student. The feeling is indescribable on how our team makes you feel on your big day and for every other student. I highly recommend attending and if you are out of state, make a vacation out of it because our town has so much to see! The CSU employee Christmas parties are a close second of my favorite moment as it is such a reward to get to spend a day with all your coworkers and just a have a good time.
  1. Considering your job, what advice would you give a CSU student? As an enrollment specialist, I highly recommend students to reach out to our many support teams for help. Our department is readily available to assist with account issues or just simply getting enrolled. We are glad to be able to assist our students with any issues or questions that may occur. Our university has an array of departments that you should get familiar with so you can contact the appropriate team when needing assistance. I would also recommend utilizing the tools and resources within your courses, while also staying connected with your professors.
