Dr. Joseph Moore Celebrated for Dedication to the Field of Education

Dr. Joseph T. Moore has been included in Marquis Who’s Who. As in all Marquis Who’s Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

A seasoned program manager with a proven track record of success in government administration, Dr. Moore excels as a faculty member at Columbia Southern University, through which he teaches in the criminal justice and homeland security programs. Dr. Moore also previously served in the role of Curriculum Lead Faculty for the criminal justice and homeland security programs at Columbia Southern University. In addition to his work in education, he has served as a program manager in the federal government. Dr. Moore has also supervised in the federal government, focusing on protecting the homeland.

Before embarking on his professional journey, Dr. Moore earned a Bachelor of Arts in criminal justice from Seton Hall University. Subsequently, he received a master’s degree in public administration from Rutgers University and a Ph.D. in public policy and administration from Walden University, specializing in homeland security. Driven to keep abreast of ongoing changes in the field, Dr. Moore aligns himself with several organizations, including the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People and the American Society for Public Administration.

In conjunction with his work, Dr. Moore is a basketball coach for children in his community. For his professional achievements, he was honored with Excellent Achievement Awards from Columbia Southern University in 2022 and 2023. Although his career has been filled with standout moments, he takes the most pride in completing his PhD dissertation regarding protecting the country from terrorist attacks.

Though hard work and dedication have brought him far in his career, Dr. Moore credits his overall success to his perseverance through difficult times and believing in himself despite all obstacles in his way. Within the next five to ten years, Dr. Moore aims to continue working as an educator and remain open to a career in politics or public policy. Eventually, Dr. Moore would also like to leverage his considerable knowledge in a consulting capacity.
