Leadership is a collection of our defining moments and experiences that reveal character, test conviction, inspire others, and shape us into the leaders we become. Every leader has defining moments, and some of the greatest leadership stories are built from them. Join us for “Leadership Beyond Rank: Military Lessons for Everyday Leaders,” a webinar dedicated to exploring the lessons, challenges and decisions that leave a lasting impact on how we lead.
The event will be led by Chief Master Sgt. of the Air Force (Ret.) JoAnne Bass, CSU’s strategic advisor for global and enterprise relations; and Chief Master Sgt. of the Air Force (Ret.) Dr. Mike Perry, dean and assistant provost of CSU’s College of Space, Intelligence and Military Operations. Together, the two will draw from decades of leadership experience at the highest levels, sharing practical insights and defining moments that can help you lead with greater purpose, influence and impact regardless of your title or position.
“I have always been fascinated by the concept of leadership,” said Perry. “As a society, we’ve studied it for a little over a century now, and it has seen many evolutions. We don’t wear these moments as rank on our sleeves or collars. These moments are not printed in war plans or in strategic doctrine. They are the collective of the experiences and choices we make as we progress through life.”
