Columbia Southern University (CSU) offers specialized educational opportunities with the addition of two new programs including two postgraduate certificates. The new programs include:
- Accelerated Bachelor of Science to Master of Science in Psychology
- Postgraduate Certificate in Public Administration
- Postgraduate Certificate in Health Care Administration
Accelerated programs allow students to take two master’s level courses while completing their undergraduate degree. Master’s courses taken during the bachelor’s program will transfer once the students enter their master’s program.
“The bachelor’s to master’s in psychology accelerated program makes it easier for students to continue their journey into a graduate psychology degree by reducing course load, shortening time to completion and helping save on tuition. Because the B.S. in psychology is often used as a steppingstone to pursue a master’s degree, this option provides a faster, more affordable way to keep moving forward,” said Megan Bowers, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences and assistant provost at CSU.
In addition to the accelerated program option, the university launched two postgraduate certificates, designed for students who have earned graduate-level degrees in health care and public administration.
The postgraduate certificate in health care administration provides students with the opportunity to focus on health care administrative-related industry topics and research. The certificate emphasizes strategic leadership, operational excellence and innovative solutions to improve health care delivery.
The postgraduate certificate in public administration will provide a foundation in government operations, policy analysis, and public sector management. Students gain the essential skills needed to navigate complex governance challenges and drive effective policy implementation.
