John Patrick Phillips
John Patrick Phillips of Tulsa, Oklahoma, has been included in Marquis Who’s Who. Phillips has built an impressive career in occupational safety and health for nearly two decades and currently serves as the senior director of safety at Herc Rentals Inc. He served in the United States Army for 15 years and the National Guard, including roles as a military police officer, platoon sergeant and a noncommissioned officer in charge of operations, with multiple deployments. He holds a bachelor’s degree in occupational safety and health from CSU.

Ronald Zak
The Mentor (Ohio) Fire Department has appointed Ronald Zak to fire chief. He has been with the department since 1991 and has a career spanning over 30 years. Zak wanted a career that allowed him to make a difference in people’s lives. “A shift rarely goes by without witnessing suffering,” he said. “When we get the chance to help ease someone’s pain and make them feel a bit better on what is probably their worst day, there is satisfaction in that.” He is a 2020 CSU graduate.

Justin Pinkelton
The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department has promoted Justin Pinkelton to the role of captain. He brings 28 years of experience to the position and will head the Warrants Division. Pinkelton received a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice administration from CSU.

Jaclyn Collier
Agtegra Cooperative in Aberdeen, South Dakota, has named Jaclyn Collier vice president of environmental, health and safety (EHS). She will be responsible for leading all aspects of Agtegra’s EHS programs and brings over a decade of experience to the role. Collier holds certifications as a certified safety professional and occupational health and safety technologist. She earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree in occupational safety and health from CSU.

Kyle Sanders
The WEOKIE Federal Credit Union in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, has announced Kyle Sanders as its chief delivery officer (CDO). Sanders is an expert service delivery leader with over 20 years of experience leading teams in member service-focused organizations. He received a master’s degree in organizational leadership from CSU.

Jerry Blomberg
The Lake Ozark (Missouri) Fire Protection District Board of Directors named Jerry Blomberg as its new fire chief. He was promoted from deputy chief of professional development to his new position on March 5, 2025. He started his career as a firefighter in 1993 and has worked as a fire driver and fire captain before holding the title of division chief of training for nine years. Blomberg holds a bachelor’s degree in fire science from CSU.
