Lonnie Adamson III
Georgia’s Brooklet City Council has announced Lonnie Adamson III as the sole finalist for the role of Brooklet city manager. He previously served two years as a recreation and parks associate director for Bryan County. He also worked with the Ware County Board of Education as a teacher, athletic coach and mentor for new staff members. He earned a Master of Public Administration degree from CSU.
Kevin Vattakatte
Kevin Vattakatte has been included in Marquis Who’s Who. He has established an impressive career in information technology project management within the oil and gas sector, earning recognition for his expertise and leadership. He received an MBA with a focus in project management from CSU.
Jessica Muniz
Jessica Muniz has been recognized in Influential Women for her deep commitment as a seasoned safety professional. Throughout her career, she has worked in a wide range of industries and operational environments, including oil field projects, refineries, cryogenic plants, dredging operations, and longshore and port work. Muniz is valued as a respectable leader in the safety industry and received a bachelor’s degree in occupational safety and health from CSU.
Christopher Perez
The City of Temple (Texas) has appointed Christopher Perez to fire chief. He will assume the role on July 6, 2026. Perez brings nearly 30 years of leadership experience from the Laredo Police Department, having served as an assistant driver, driver, captain, district chief and deputy fire chief. He earned a master’s degree in fire executive leadership from CSU.
Patrick Bishop
Retired Maj. Patrick Bishop is among seven candidates in the running for Alabama lieutenant governor. He served over 26 years with multiple deployments as a U.S. paratrooper in numerous specialty commands. Bishop is an associate minister at Trinity Baptist Church of Birmingham and recently served as chaplain deputy with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department. He is a 2013 CSU graduate, earning an MBA with a concentration in public administration.
Chris Mongelluzzo
The Leesburg (Virginia) Police Department has promoted Chris Mongelluzzo to the rank of captain. He joined the department in 2008 and has gained extensive operational and investigative experience through assignments in field operations, crisis negotiations and field training. Mongelluzzo was promoted to sergeant in 2016 and lieutenant in 2022. He received a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice administration from CSU.
Matthew Lohse
Deputy Chief Matthew Lohse has been appointed as the Geneva (Illinois) Fire Department’s new fire chief. He will assume the role effective Aug. 14. He began his firefighting career in 1999 and was promoted to lieutenant in 2015 and deputy chief in 2023. Lohse will oversee the department of 21 full-time firefighters and paramedics, eight contractors and more than 35 paid-on-call firefighters. He earned a master’s degree in fire executive leadership from CSU.
