Janette Singletary
Janette Singletary was recently recognized for her dedication to health care. She was featured in the 2025 edition of Influential Women and has served more than 25 years in advancing health care at Tampa General Hospital. She is currently the manager of perioperative scheduling in the surgical and procedural department, starting her career as a scheduler. She leads a high-performing team that coordinates over 60,000 surgical and procedural cases each year across more than 80 procedure rooms. Singletary is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in health care administration at CSU.
Michael Scott McVoy
Michael Scott McVoy has been appointed to the role of police chief with the Jeffersonville (Indiana) Police Department. He brings nearly 18 years of law enforcement experience to the position, serving 14 years with the same department. McVoy is a graduate of the FBI National Academy Session 281 and the Southern Police Institute Administrative Officers Command Session 136. He earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice administration from CSU.
Nathan Elliott
Caldwell County in North Carolina recently promoted Nathan Elliott to EMS manager. Elliott is a former EMS training coordinator and brings 22 years of emergency services experience to his new role. “I’m humbled to be selected from such a competitive group of candidates,” he said. “I’m excited for the opportunity to be a part of the future of Caldwell County EMS and the opportunity for growth that exists, both in the service and with our exceptional staff.” He is currently pursuing a Master of Public Administration degree from CSU.
Jamika Taijeron
The Marianas (Northern Mariana Islands) Visitors Authority (MVA) board of directors appointed Jamika Taijeron to the role of managing director, which took effect March 1, 2025. She formerly held the position of the MVA board’s vice chairwoman and is a former executive of Duty-Free Shoppers Group Ltd. She earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from CSU.
Michael Missildine
Michael A. Missildine, Ph.D., has been included in Marquis Who’s Who. He has established a career spanning across three decades in public service, law enforcement and the judiciary. Since 2019, he has served as a judge for Collin County Justice of the Peace Precinct 3 in Plano, Texas. He is a 2014 CSU graduate.
Joshua Bennett
Joshua Bennett is one of four candidates running for a board seat with the Gilbert Community School District in Iowa. He is currently a fire lieutenant with the city of Ames in Iowa and is also a volunteer assistant chief of training and EMS service director for Gilbert Fire Department. He earned a bachelor’s degree in health care administration with a concentration in EMS management from CSU.
Jeremy Hoffman
Jeremy Hoffman was recognized as a hero on Oct. 9, 2025, in Neptune, New Jersey. The annual Hometown Heroes event recognizes first responders, EMS members, firefighters and police from each Legislative District 11 town. Hoffman is an EMS chief in Freehold Township and began his public service at age 15 with the Freehold EMS Cadet Corps. He led Freehold EMS through Hurricane Sandy and the COVID-19 pandemic, all while serving as a firefighter. He received an MBA from CSU.
Mark Barbaric
Intertech Ci has appointed Mark Barbaric to general manager of its Southeast operation in the Miami-Fort Lauderdale area. He brings more than 22 years of experience in security integration and construction, with expertise in operations oversight and financial performance management. “I’m excited to bring my enthusiasm, energy and experience to the Intertech Ci team, to help expand the company’s brand and national footprint to the Southeast for commercial customer security and fire integration needs as well as support the national monitoring PSU program,” he said. He is a 2016 CSU graduate.
Michael Grant
The Rock Hill (South Carolina) Fire Department has promoted Michael Grant to fire chief. He previously served as the deputy chief of operations with the department and is a third-generation firefighter with more than 22 years of experience. He holds a bachelor’s degree in fire administration from CSU.
