Reggie Rader
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) has appointed Reggie Rader as its new chief of police. He brings nearly 30 years of experience in public safety across southern Nevada and rose through the ranks to his current role as LVMPD deputy chief of the Homeland Security Division. He received a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from CSU.

Shawn Cole
Shawn Cole of Destin, Florida, has been included in Marquis Who’s Who. Cole served in the U.S. Navy for 25 years and carries an expertise in explosive ordnance disposal (EOD). He currently holds the position of subject matter expert for improvised explosive devices (IED) in the U.S. State Department’s Office of Weapons Removal and Abatement for the Worldwide Weapons Destruction Support Services (WWDSS), Iraq Task Order. He is a 2012 CSU graduate.

Patrick Wirkus
Patrick Wirkus of Berkeley Heights, New Jersey, has been published in the May 2025 edition of Fire Engineering Magazine. The article provides critical insights into enhancing fireground operations through strategic command structures. He currently serves as the battalion chief with the Elizabeth Fire Department and as a deputy fire mutual aid coordinator with the Union County Fire Mutual Aid System. He received a master’s degree in fire executive leadership from CSU.

Joseph Davis
Mercury GSE in Fort Worth, Texas, has appointed Joseph Davis to the position of vice president of customer service. Davis brings a decade of experience from Oskkosh AeroTech, where he served as the senior sales account manager. He earned an MBA from CSU in 2025.

Matthew Grave
Matthew Grave of Willmar, Minnesota, is recognized for his efforts in improving safety within the fire service. He trains firefighters about the use of SoyFoam, a safer product without dangerous chemicals that is grown from soymeal. Grave is the deputy fire chief for the Willmar Fire Department and is a second-generation firefighter. He earned an associate degree in fire science from CSU.

Chris Perez
Chris Perez is one of four finalists in search of the next fire chief with the Waco Fire Department. He has 27 years of fire service experience and has served as the deputy fire chief of fire suppression for the city of Laredo Fire Department for the last five years. He holds a bachelor’s degree in fire administration from CSU and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in fire executive leadership.

Kenny Holding
The Clark County Fire Department in Nevada has promoted Kenny Holding to the rank of deputy fire chief of suppression. He brings over two decades of experience and plays a crucial role in developing and enforcing operational policies that comply with industry standards, including the National Fire and Protection Association (NFPA) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). He received a bachelor’s degree in fire administration from CSU.

Eva Jones
The St. Mary’s County Sherrif’s Office in Maryland has recognized Eva Jones for her academic achievement, showcasing her commitment to lifelong learning and professional excellence. Jones is the assistant commander of the Special Operations Division and earned a master’s degree in emergency services management from CSU.
