CSU Knight Promoted to Safety Director
Brett Fontenot has been promoted to director of safety and inspections for Safety Management Systems, a division of Acadian Companies based in Lafayette, Louisiana. Fontenot has spent 12 years of his career at the company, previously serving as the key account manager for Shell. He received his associate’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health from CSU in 2012.

CSU Graduate Promoted to Fire Chief
Jamison Barros was voted in as the fire chief of Somerset, Massachusetts. Barros has served as acting chief since Chief Scott Jepson died earlier this year. He has worked at the department since 2003, previously acting as the deputy chief. He received his associate’s degree in fire science from CSU in 2017.

CSU Knight Running for Seat on Board of Commissioners
Brodriche Jackson will run for the District 2 seat on the Jackson County, Georgia Board of Commissioners. Jackson has worked in law enforcement for 12 years and began as an officer in Jefferson two years ago. He is pursuing a bachelor’s in Criminal Justice Administration from CSU.
