Help us honor an Outstanding Law Enforcement Professional

As October is National Crime Prevention Month, CSU wants your help in selecting one of our law enforcement students or graduates for the 2018 Outstanding Law Enforcement Professional Award.

The award recognizes someone who exemplifies excellence in law enforcement. Nominations can include a CSU student, a recent graduate within the last two years, or yourself. Tell us about this person’s achievements, skills, service record and academic success that set them apart in the world of law enforcement and makes them deserving of this award.

Please submit your nomination by September 24.

I am nominating myself, not because I feel like I deserve it but because of what I have done in my career. I am a Deputy with the Moore County Sheriffs office and currently serve as the “Jail Navigator”. I work to assist inmates with being able to obtain their GED, attend classes such as NA/AA, Drugfree Moore County, I also work with the courts to place inmates into treatment facilities for substance abuse & I work with DSS to help inmates returning to society. I have held the position of Detention Officer, Field training officer and administrative assistant for the Detention Center. I am a certified medical responder in the state and volunteer with my local fire department, I am a Guardian Ad Litem for Moore County and serve on the board of our local Law Enforcement Association. I have maintained all of this while attending school at CSU.
