A New Year of Abundant Opportunity

Dear students and alumni,

Happy New Year! It is hard to believe that 2017 is behind us and we are embarking on an exciting new year full of possibilities. Whether you set big resolutions or are just looking forward to a fresh start this year, I hope 2018 brings you abundant opportunity and blessings.

Members of our Alumni Relations team will be hosting networking socials in several cities this year. This winter, we will be visiting Jacksonville, Florida; Stone Mountain, Georgia; Charlotte, North Carolina; and San Diego, California. If you would like more information or would like to RSVP to one of these events, visit the events page on our website. We would love to meet you!

It has never been a shock to me that our students are among the best and brightest in the nation, but it always excites me to see the great things you all accomplish in your educational career and beyond. We recently awarded the Learning Partner Scholarship to Gail Baker of Avon, Colorado. Gail is a member of the International Association of Arson Investigators and plans to earn her bachelor’s degree in fire administration.

Jeremy Roberts, an alumni who lives near Mobile, Alabama, was named one of the city’s “40 Under 40” for his career in banking and passion for civic service.

These are just two examples of the great things our students and alumni are doing. Knights like Gail and Jeremy make all of us at CSU so proud.

In 2018, CSU is working on numerous significant strategies that affect our courses, the learning experience and the CSU brand. You can be assured we are also working to improve the overall experience each of our students have here. We hope that you will find these strategies and improvements to be a positive forward motion for CSU.

No matter what your educational goals are for the New Year, we are here to help you accomplish them. Maybe your goal is to finish a certain number of courses in your program this year or finish your degree program in time to participate in Commencement this October. We believe in you and want to help you make these dreams and goals a reality. Let us know what we can do to assist.

God bless,

Robert Mayes
