Five CSU Knights and one Waldorf Warrior (CSU’s sister school) were featured as 2017 Rising Stars of Safety in Safety and Health Magazine. These students were chosen among the young professional division of the National Safety Council (NSC). They are individuals who “show a dedication to safety leadership at work” and are “easy to spot in your organization.”
- Audrey Channualt of Moss Point, Miss. received her bachelor’s degree in occupational safety and health from CSU. She works as an EHS senior consultant for the Chemours Company.
- Nathan Flowers of Oakmont, Pa. Received his bachelor’s degree in occupational safety and health from CSU. He works as a safety engineer for American Bridge.
- Joseph Kauffman of Woolwich Township, N.J. received his bachelor’s degree in occupational safety and health from CSU. He works as the director of risk & safety for Horizon Services Inc.
- Ben Miller of Lake Charles, La. received his associate’s degree in occupational safety and health from CSU. He works as a senior project safety specialist for Fluor Federal Petroleum Operations.
- Megan Shambach of New Berlin, Pa. received her master’s degree in occupational safety and health from CSU. She works a regional emergency safety and health manager for Harsco Industrial.
- Jarred O’Dell of Watertown, N.Y. received his bachelor’s degree in occupational safety and health from Waldorf University. He works as a safety director for Syracuse Utilities Inc.
Congratulations are certainly in order for those who received this esteemed distinction. The hard work and dedication these individuals have applied to their education and careers does not go unnoticed and everyone at CSU and Waldorf is very proud.
