CSU Alumnus Named Fire Chief of Cincinnati

Roy Winston was named chief of the Cincinnati Fire Department recently, after serving as interim fire chief since April. He has served on the department for 30 years, beginning when he was 18. He holds a bachelor’s degree in human resources from CSU.

CSU Alumnus Named Fire Chief of Orangeburg, S.C.

Teddy Wolfe will soon step into his new role as fire chief in Orangeburg, South Carolina. He has served on the department for 17 years, currently as chief fire operations officer. He received his bachelor’s degree in fire science from CSU.

CSU Alumnus Named Fire Chief in New Lenox, Ill.

Adam Riegel has been named fire chief of the New London Fire Protection District. Riegel previously served as fire chief of the volunteer district of Salina Township, Illinois. He began working at New Lenox FPD in 2003, being named deputy chief in 2016. He received his bachelor’s degree in fire science from CSU.

Knight Nominated for Fort Dodge Fire Chief

The city manager of Fort Dodge, Iowa recently nominated Captain Steve Hergenter for the role of fire chief. Hergenter joined the fire department in 1989, a few years after his ninth grade job shadowing assignment at the same fire department. He was promoted to captain in 2000. He received his bachelor’s degree in fire science from CSU.

Director of Safety Management: MetroAtlanta Ambulance

Mike Ellington has been hired as the director of safety risk management of MetroAtlanta Ambulance Service. He previously served as the deputy fire chief of the Cobb County Fire and Emergency Services department. Ellington received his bachelor’s degree in occupational safety and health from CSU.

Knight Serving as Army Commander in Kuwait

Lt. Col. Anthony Wilson recently became commander of the 10th Mountain Division’s 548th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion (CSSB) at Camp Buehring, Kuwait. Lt. Col. Wilson is originally from Pensacola, Florida and was previously serving as the joint operations and plans officer and executive office to the chief of staff of U.S. European Command Headquarters in Stuttgart, Germany. He received his MBA from CSU.
