Career Services Offers Workforce Recruitment Program to Students with Disabilities

CSU Career Services is gearing up to offer the Workforce Recruitment Program (WRP) for the fourth year. This program connects current students and recent graduates who have disabilities to employers nationwide for paid summer internships and full-time job opportunities.

The WRP provides students and recent graduates with disabilities in all fields of study the opportunity to market their abilities to a wide variety of potential employers across the United States, sharpen their interviewing skills during a required phone interview with a WRP recruiter, and gain valuable skills, experience, and contacts on the job.

To participate in the program, you must:

  • Be a United States citizen (veterans are strongly desired)
  • Have an intellectual disability, severe physical disability, or a psychiatric disability making you eligible to use the” schedule a hiring” authority
  • Be a current, full-time, degree-seeking student unless you are taking a reduced course load due to a disability or are in your final term OR
  • Have graduated in April 2015 or after

The WRP operates on an annual basis and requires student applicants to participate in a remote interview with one of their recruiters.  2016 registration began August 24 and will run through mid-October.  The interviews will begin in mid-November.  Space is limited so apply early.
