Military Appreciation Month

May is Military Appreciation Month, a holiday that CSU is proud to celebrate. With 30 percent of our active student body being members of the military, our employees have the honor of interacting with some our country’s bravest and most patriotic individuals every day. For your commitment to your country and your education, we are truly grateful.

Military Appreciation Month was designed by Congress in 1999 as a way to promote unity and honor both current and former members of the U.S. Armed Forces, including those who died in combat. Through education, service and honor, we celebrate this awesome month with pride each year.

May also includes a few more important military holidays: Armed Forces Day, Loyalty Day, Memorial Day, Military Spouse Appreciation Day and Victory in Europe (VE) Day. We have much to celebrate when it comes to members of the United States Military!

In addition to students, CSU also has many employees who have served our country. Every May, we display their photos in uniform and serve them lunch as a small token of gratitude.

For those who have served our country in any branch of the military or reserves, active-duty or retired, we tip our hat to you and your families. We are grateful for your service to our country and your willingness to step up to take the call of duty.
