Sandra Perry has joined St. Germain Collins, an environmental firm that offers consulting, regulatory compliance, and engineering expertise, in Westbrook, Maine. Perry is stepping in as the new senior project manager. She earned her B.S. in Environmental Engineering at Columbia Southern University.

Robert C. Owens knows that fire incidents require proper personal protective equipment, but sometimes even the equipment that is designed to protect firefighters can get in the way for others providing life-saving techniques. Owens’ newest article discusses the importance of layering gloves for external emergency medical services teams who will be performing CPR but will still have a measure of protection when attempting to remove hot gear in order to do an assessment. Owens graduated from Columbia Southern University with his B.S. in Fire Science.
Farmington Hills Police Department Welcomes Newest Officer
Nicholas Stirret, a decorated U.S. Army veteran, is the newest member of the Farmington Hills Police Department. Stirret has earned many awards throughout his police and military career, but perhaps the most honorable is the Bronze Star he earned for the heroic efforts he demonstrated while in Iraq. The Police chief, Chuck Nebus is confident that Stirret’s experience in the military will be a huge asset to the department. Stirret received his B.S. in Criminal Justice Administration from Columbia Southern University.
Loris City Council Candidates Share Thoughts on Priorities for City
Michael Dozier is currently in the running for a city council seat in Loris, South Carolina, his hometown. Dozier is a captain for the Horry County Fire Rescue, where he also coordinates career recruit schools. A former high school baseball and football player, one of his main platforms will be to bring awareness for funding youth recreation and the importance of having responsible coaches as role models for the kids. Dozier earned his B.S. in Fire Science Administration from Columbia Southern University.
