Columbia Southern University alumni are making news.

Darnell Williams Promoted to Head Coach at Kentucky State University
Darnell Williams, who earned a master’s degree in sports management from CSU, has been named the new head coach of the Kentucky State University men’s basketball team. He previously worked as an assistant coach. Williams had a noteworthy playing career as well; he played at Xavier University and professionally in the United States and overseas.

Robert Siemer Announced as District Commander in The Villages, Florida
Robert Siemer, who earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from CSU, has received the honor of serving as the district commander for The Villages in Sumter County, Florida. He was surprised with the honor at a recent Sherriff’s Citizen’s Academy by Sherriff Bill Farmer. Siemer was born in Hollywood, Florida and began his law enforcement career in 1995.

CSU OSH Grad and EFO Participant Writes Article on Leadership
Jacob McAfee, a 14-year veteran of fire and emergency services, has master’s degrees in occupational safety and health and emergency management from CSU and is participating in the Executive Fire Officer program. He has served in both the military and Department of Defense. His article, “The Future Needs Leadership,” has been published on fireengineering.com.
