Career Services is gearing up for the third year in a row to offer the Workforce Recruitment Program (WRP) to connect current students and recent graduates with disabilities to employers nationwide for paid summer internships and full-time job opportunities.
The WRP provides students and recent graduates with disabilities in all fields of study the opportunity to market their abilities to a wide variety of potential employers across the United States, sharpen their interviewing skills during a required phone interview with a WRP recruiter, and gain valuable skills, experience, and contacts on the job.
To participate in the program, you must:
- Be a United States Citizen (Veterans are strongly desired)
- Have an intellectual disability, a severe physical disability, or a psychiatric disability making you eligible to use the Schedule A hiring authority
- Be a current, full-time, degree-seeking student unless you are taking a reduced course load due to a disability or are in your final term OR
- Have graduated after April 2014
The WRP is run on an annual basis and requires student applicants to participate in a remote interview with one of their recruiters. Registration will begin August 24 and run through October 19. The interviews will begin October 27th. Space is limited, so apply early.
