CSU strives to continuously improve its programs for students. One method is to provide that each course includes at least one or more General Education Competencies. These competencies include communication, critical thinking, information literacy & technology, math & science, and social & cultural awareness. Overall achievement of competencies are measured utilizing an established grading rubric. In order to assess the previously identified competencies, the grading rubric will be updated, effective Wednesday, August 5, 2015. Please note that general education competencies included in the grading rubric are utilized as a non-graded assessment tool.
