Company Officer Academy-July 21-23, 2015 in Decatur, AL

Led by renowned training professionals, Chief Salka and Chief Lasky, this multi-day program addresses the many skills and abilities that company officers need to have to be effective in the firehouse and on the fire ground.

Targeted toward new company officers, current officers and future officers, participants will hear the chiefs speak on topics such as leadership, communication, motivation, mentoring, performance evaluations, coaching for disciplinary issues, fire ground scenarios, and so much more.

Chiefs Lasky and Salka have decades of experience as chiefs and company officers and have handled many of the difficult and challenging situations that you are likely to face sometime in your fire service future. They will explain some of the myths concerning performance evaluations and discipline and how to get a handle on your daily firehouse routine. CSP Exam Prep Workshop- July 22-24, 2015 in Murfreesboro, TN

Held in conjunction with the annual Tennessee Health & Safety Conference, this workshop is available for safety professionals to help prepare them for the CSP exam.

The CSP exam is the second-level examination required in the two test process. This five-and-a-half hour, computer-delivered examination consists of 200 questions that examine the candidate’s applied knowledge and the application of experience gained through professional practice.

This CSP exam prep workshop covers the four areas of the exam: engineering, management, information management and communications and professional conduct and ethics. Your preparation during the workshop will include lectures, sample problems, and discussions on a variety of subjects to prepare for the exam.
