“Deputy Fire Chief Paul Bearce recently completed the four-year master’s-level program, which he calls the “pinnacle of fire department leadership administration…Since the program provides graduate-level college credit, he earned a master’s in emergency services management from Columbia Southern University in Orange Beach, Ala., during the same time.”

Cottage Grove Interim Police Chief Bob Roberts announced the five finalists for Cottage Grove police chief. One of the finalists, Brian Redman received his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice administration from Columbia Southern University.

New Urbandale Information Officer Moves Fire Department into Digital Age
Kyle Bissell, the newest public information officer in Urbandale, IA, has been working hard to bring the department into the digital age, by using social media to get information out to the public. Bissell graduated from CSU in 2009 with a bachelor’s in fire science.

PPD Welcomes Five New Recruits
Five new Paducah police officers were sworn in during a March evening meeting of the Paducah City Commission in Paducah, KY. One of the new recruits was Kerry M. Naquin who received his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice administration from CSU.
