I am so excited to write a new blog series: Lessons on Leadership. I believe there are lessons to be learned from those who came before us and last summer I had the opportunity to sit down with Marilyn Hickey and share what we learned from some biblical leaders. I’m proud to be able to share with you over the next two months, the first in the Lessons in Leadership series.
For this series I was able to interview Dr. Marilyn Hickey. She has been a mentor to me. We take several leaders of the Bible and discuss about their various leadership styles, how they led teams and most importantly how they led themselves.
In this first installment, we focus on a servant leader. Joshua is one of my favorite leaders of the bible. He was a great follower to Moses. He was second in command. As a leader, you have to learn to follow well as you lead. He had great influence on his team. It only took them six years to take over the Promised Land. He was wise as a leader who took time to know the people he led. He knew how to cast to vision to his team as well as serve the vision.
I hope you you enjoy this new series. May Success be with you!
