Criminal justice faculty roundup

Dave Thomas, Ph.D., has accepted an invitation to become a reviewer and editor of two new online journals with Horizon Research Publications: The Universal Journal of Psychology and the International Journal of Neuroscience and Behavioral Sciences.

Timothy Turner, Ph.D., conducted hostage negotiations training for the U.S. State Department’s Anti-Terrorism Assistance program in N’Djamena, Chad, during August.

Chad Spindel designed and facilitated two courses for the Abu Dhabi Police. These five-day courses were “Diplomatic Protocol Familiarization for Law Enforcement” and “Orientation to VIP Protection.”

Thomas Rzemyk, Ph.D., attended a 20-hour wireless networking professional certification course and passed a comprehensive written examination earning the credential of an Aerohive Certified Wireless Administrator (ACWA). ACWA is a certification that validates one’s advanced knowledge and understanding about Aerohive’s WLAN Cooperative Control architecture.

Jamie Gauthier attends POST certified leadership training – assertive supervision “practical approaches to performance management”  this month. He also will attend the California District Attorney Investigator’s Association annual conference at the end of September in Napa, Calif.
