Each month, CSU honors a learning partner that has gone above and beyond to support higher education. Outreach representative Rachel Stanford recently traveled to Fairfax, Va., to award ManTech International Corporation as Partner of the Month for July.
A CSU learning partner since 2010, ManTech has 28 employees that are currently taking advantage of the learning partnership tuition discount program.
Executive Director of Training and Organizational Development Karen Gardner said her team values CSU as a partner because of the “veteran friendly” customer service and the relevant course offerings.
“Our partnership has helped ManTech employees stay current in their field and advance their skill sets which creates job opportunities and advancement for them. It makes us more competitive as a company in the market,” she said.
Gardner added that the tuition discount and scholarship program create employee engagement and help ManTech keep qualified employees on staff.
ManTech prides itself on hiring talented professionals that propel the company into the future.
One of those people is CSU student Ron Linder. He works as a government contractor for the 45th Space Wing Safety Office in Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Fla. “I am learning a lot in my courses and it has been a great reward to finally pursue my desire to obtain a bachelor’s degree.”
He said CSU’s partnership with ManTech allows him to earn the level of education required for his work. He added that earning his bachelor’s degree will enable him to become a certified safety professional.
“The courses I am taking have given me the classroom knowledge to better understand my role as a safety professional as well as insight into why things are accomplished the way they are,” said Linder.
WE love our partners! Thank you ManTech, and all of our partners across the nation, for taking time out to meet with the CSU reps to further promote continued education within your teams. We are here for you always.
