Arson investigators group selected as May Partner of the Month

CSU Professional Fire Development representative Sherri Twitty recently attended the annual IAAI 2014 International Training Conference and banquet in Las Vegas where she announced the International Association of Arson Investigators as the May Partner of the Month.

The International Association of Arson Investigators, Inc. (IAAI) is an association of more than 8,000 fire investigation professionals throughout the world and a global resource for fire investigation training, technology, research and professional development.  Their members are united by their dedication and passion to suppress the crime of arson through professional fire investigation.

The IAAI has been a CSU education partner since 2010 with more than 80 members who are CSU students and graduates.

Louis “Chris” Lopez, a CSU student, attended the conference and said that “he loves the personal attention CSU provides to students.”

“I like the ease of use of the online classes.  It has been a good experience and I hope to finish in the next year,” he added.

IAAI member Jack Spurgeon said “After much research, I determined that CSU offered the best curriculum and degree programs to meet my personal and professional goals.  In addition, CSU administrators and professors excel at communicating with students and offering a unique way of making a student feel at ease and comfortable throughout the educational process.”

I feel that my experience with CSU has not only provided a huge personal benefit to me, but has also provided me the tools to be more effective in my professional endeavors as an assistant fire chief, a fire marshal, board member for the Tennessee Chapter International Association of Arson Investigators, and an IAAI Chapter liaison.”

“I attended my first IAAI International Training Conference in 2009 and recognized the uniqueness of the organization as well as their commitment to their members and their communities” Twitty said.

“There is a desire among IAAI members to continue their education and professional development and CSU can help them achieve their goals through our flexible online education opportunities. We continue to explore other ways to reinforce the partnership between CSU and IAAI and look forward to a great relationship for many years to come.”
