Raymond Ng was awarded a scholarship to Columbia Southern University at the United Safety Council of Florida Annual Safety Awards Banquet on Jan. 17 in Orlando.
The scholarship, which covers tuition for up to 24 months for one specific online degree program with CSU, will assist Ng in completing a master’s degree in occupational safety and health. He was selected by an independent scholarship review committee comprised of active corporate members of United Safety Council of Florida based upon his educational and professional goals and experience.
Jim Meade, executive director of USCF stated, “Raymond is one of Central Florida’s best and brightest young safety professionals. While working for Orange County Division of Risk Management, Raymond has developed several new safety initiatives that are already paying dividends to the citizens and businesses within Orange County and Orlando.”
After receiving the scholarship presented by CSU education representative Randy Daniels, Ng remarked “This scholarship will go towards the improvement of the safety and health of all the citizens and businesses that I work with on a daily basis. I want to thank both the United Safety Council of Florida and Columbia Southern University for placing their trust and faith in me.”
