In order to comply with U.S. Department of Education guidelines regarding Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP), CSU has modified the policy specifically to address compliance during the SAP evaluation period.
Students who are utilizing Federal Student Aid (FSA) will be reviewed for SAP at the end of the academic year or at the end of 12 months, whichever comes first. Students will be expected to meet GPA, completion ratio and maximum timeframe requirements described fully in the SAP Policy at the time of review.
If these standards are not met, students will be immediately placed in a ‘Failing SAP’ status and will no longer be eligible for FSA. CSU will no longer use a “SAP Warning” status. These changes are effective upon completion of Term 3A14, which ends Dec. 10, 2013.
