Congratulations to the following CSU adjunct faculty members on their recent achievements (October- December 2011)
Deryl Gulliford presented a training, “A Perspective: Healthcare in Japan in the Midst of Catastrophe,” that appeared in the Executive – Journal of the American Academy of Medical Administrators, May 2011 issue. This paper was co-authored with Gail Lalli of the Cleveland Clinic Senior Administrative Team and presented at the 2011 Fall Conference of the Oklahoma Society for Respiratory Care in Oklahoma City on Oct. 16.
Richard Yellen, along with Mathew Kuofie and Ofori Boatneg, published “Mobile Phone Providers and Economic Development in Ghana” in the Journal of Information Technology and Economic Development’s Oct. 17 edition.
Susan Stoker was a presenter at the Indiana Associate of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (IACRAO) at the Annual Meeting in South Bend, Ind., on Oct 24-25.
Bob Goldwasser presented a paper at the International Academy of Business and Public Administration (IABPAD) Conference in Memphis in October. The title was “The Economic Impact of the International Monetary Fund Loan Stabilization Program on Caribbean Countries.”
In November, Teresa (Terry) Lees presented research at the 17th Annual Sloan Consortium International Conference in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. The presentation evaluated relationships between learning style, gender, and training practices, and their effect on faculty satisfaction toward faculty training.
Adjunct professor Linda Wiling gave a presentation in November at the National Fire Academy in San Diego called “Exercising Leadership Within Diverse Communities.”
Barry Goodson was the guest speaker for the First Marine Recon Division in mid-December at Camp Pendleton, Calif. He developed a presentation based on a comparison of the Vietnam Combined Program concept (CAP) with the efforts presently extended by this particular unit in Afghanistan during present-day operations. “This was a tremendous honor as they recognize my contribution to our country not only in the Vietnam War, but also during my tenure as Central Region Commander in Afghanistan 2006-2008,” said Goodson.
Angela Golden authored the instructor’s manual for the new edition of Carrell/Heavrin’s, Labor Relations and Collective Bargaining, 10th edition. It was submitted in December and will be published in 2012.
