The International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM) is offering a scholarship for students pursuing a degree in emergency management and CSU students are encouraged to apply.
The IAEM Scholarship Program seeks to assist the profession by developing students with the intellect and technical skills to advance and enhance emergency management. The program benefits students pursuing studies in emergency management, homeland security, disaster management, and related fields.
The scholarship is available to full-time students pursuing associate, bachelor’s or master’s degrees in emergency management, disaster management or related programs. Information, including the application, is available at www.iaem.com/scholarships. All applications will be reviewed by scholarship commissioners and scored based on the student’s academic record, recommendations, and essay answers. You do not have to be a member of IAEM to apply for this scholarship. The deadline for application is May 13, 2011.
Additionally, students may find membership in the IAEM organization useful. (Again, please note that the scholarship is available to all students, regardless of their membership status.) While a regular membership is $170 for U.S. members, students can join for the same benefits for only $30.
