For students who have enrolled or are planning to enroll in Term 3A, starting on December 1, 2010, there will be a delay in CSU being able to receive Federal Student Aid (FSA) disbursements for that term. The U.S. Department of Education will be implementing a new phase for their G5 Grants Management System. This is the federal system that all schools use to make request to draw down federal funds for a student. During the transition to the new phase, G5 will be unavailable for all activities including the draw down of FSA. This system is expected to be down beginning 3 p.m. (ET) Friday, Dec. 10, 2010 and ending 6 a.m. (ET) Monday, Dec. 20, 2010. During this 10-day period, funds cannot be drawn for disbursements. CSU will began drawing down funds on December 20, 2010, and any credit balance due to students for that term will begin going out on December 28, 2010.
